QPR fans have voted young substitute Antonio German as Rangers man of the match in a lacklustre affair against Southampton.

German was the surprise selection of the Rangers faithful who evidently valued his contribution from the bench as one of the few positives to take from proceedings at the weekend.

Antonio replaced Liam Miller in the 71st minute and despite proving himself as a goalscorer at youth level Sousa opted to deploy him initially on the left wing. Following Taarabt`s introduction he was moved to a more central role.

He was brimming with effort and commitments playing in behind then alongside Dexter Blackstock, and will be pushing for a place on the bench tomorrow night.

German was the clear winner with no real stand out performer in the fixture providing any meaningful competition. Only Radek Cerny and Adel Taarabt managed to pick up in excess of five per cent of the votes as the groundswell of approval went with the youth product.

The top three were as follows:

1. Antonio German - 64%
2. Radek Cerny - 18%
3. Adel Taarabt - 8%

Looked lively when he came on which is more than you could say for the players around him - but I think Cerny or Legs did a better overall job - nevertheless well done Antonio.
