Sousa Pleased With R's Response

Queens Park Rangers boss Paulo Sousa was delighted with his side`s win over Bristol City.

Following a home victory on Tuesday night against Swansea City, Rangers continued their useful recent form in a bid to finish the season with a bang.

Today (Saturday) Sousa`s men proved their playoff credentials in a barnstorming second half display as they dismantled an excellent Bristol City side.

Paulo Sousa spoke to QPR.co.uk following the victory in W12 telling of his delight at the second win in two games.

He said: 'I'm very pleased for all my players,

'We have had a lot of critics, so to win two games in a row is very important.

'We made a great performance in midweek, showing a lot of effort, spirit and unity - and we did the same again today."

Goals from Jordi López (65) and Adel Taarabt (81) sandwiched an excellent volley from Michael McIndoe (77) to hand the R`s an excellent win on home soil.

The R`s boss was pleased with the reaction his side showed after being pegged back by the Scotsman`s effort believing that his side showed two of his favourite words in recent times - sprit and belief.

'In the second half we continued to strive for the winner and at 1-1, we showed a very good reaction, said Sousa.

'That shows we are in a good way and shows the spirit and the belief - it also shows that the players believe in my work.

'Each team has one or two moments in a season where things go badly, but we have responded very well.

'Our defensive and offensive organisation is excellent at the moment.'

Unfortunately for the R`s they must now wait two weeks before their next Championship test, as Crystal Palace will be the visitors to Loftus Road on Saturday April 4.
