This afternoon, the official QPR website, QPR.co.uk, has confirmed the return of Patrick Agyemang to full fitness - at last!
It would appear that Agyemang returned to full training a few weeks ago - although this little nugget was not made widely known to us fans! Head Physio, Paul Hunter, reported that: 'Pat has been back in training now for around three weeks and we've had the necessary scans and tests which have shown us that the injury has healed very well.'
Rs fans will remember that Agyemang tore a muscle off its bone, during a training session back in January. Following restorative surgery, Agyemang was told he would be back in action after about four months and the Club confirmed that, depending on whether or not we were challenging for the play-offs, they would decide whether to speed up Agyemang's recuperation or not.
When I met Patrick a couple of weeks ago, he seemed very positive and was very hopeful of making a last minute appearance for us. It would seem that this will now be possible. Hunter confirmed that Pat was 'at the stage where he's available for First Team selection.' He also expressed his desire to see Pat involved again this season:
'It would be great to see him feature this weekend in our final home match of the campaign.'
