Hi R's fans I now live in Cyprus but have been a Rangers fan since 1965. I sent the following email to Flavio Briatore because I truly believe that this club deserves the best and in my email I am talking about a proven player and a proven manager . "Dear Mr Briatore I have been a QPR fan for over 44 years and first of all I would like to thank you for rescuing the club from extinction and secondly to offer my humble support to what you are trying to achieve at the club. It is easy for some to moan and complain about new players or lack of spending etc especially when it's not their money that is going to pay for all this. This brings me to a suggestion that I would like to make concerning a potential manager for the club. I live in Cyprus and followed the fortunes of Anorthosis Famagusta this year. Their manager is Temuri Ketsbaia an old Newcastle United player. With a team barely costing 2million he managed to steer the club into the Uefa Champions League groups by beating on the way Rapid Vienna, and Athens Olympiakos. In the group itself although they finished last they still managed to get 7 points losing just two games out of six. They drew with Inter Milan 3-3 at home and narrowly lost 1-0 away. They drew twice with Werder Bremen home and away. They beat Panathinaikos 3-1 a home and lost 1-0 away. The team scored a total of 21 goals and let in 13 over nine games. During his time at the club since 2005 they have won two championships and the Cyprus FA cup once. From what I hear Ketsbaia is not very happy at Famagusta. I think that you could do worse than to approach this man with a view to managing QPR. Whatever you decide may I wish you all the best for the future. Yours Sincerely" Ketsbaia is now a free agent. I would love to hear other R's fans views.

That is an interesting shout actaully M Os - while I didn't cater for his antics on the field, he does seem to have done a relatively good job with Famagusta in Europe. Would he want to come back to England do you think?

I don't see why not. Although he lives in Cyprus and acquired Cypriot nationality he's from Georgia. If we were interested it wouldn't hurt to ask him although I do agree with you about his antics on the field. However although he was passionate in his managerial role there were never any local press reports or rumours of him having any serious manager - player issues.

I like the sound of this idea. I thought he was a fans' player on the field, the Toon Army seemed to take to him

He sounds as if he has experience and the tough mental attitude that some of our players need. He also knows what the English league is about so I'm not entirely put off by the idea!

He played for Famagusta and was a great fans favourite there too scoring at least half a dozen thirty yarders from free kicks but the opposition hated him. He could get quite stroppy at times! His strength is his ability to study the opposition and to implement the right tactics for the occasion. Unfortunately for Famagusta their season went sour when their chairman was accused of taking club funds and was forced to resign leaving the club in turmoil.Ketsbaia felt that he couldn't operate under those conditions and has since resigned. His name has been linked by the local press to manage Newcastle but these are just rumours.
