Queens Park Rangers defender Zesh Rehman may make his loan deal for Bradford City permanent according to boss Stuart McCall.
Pakistan international Zesh Rehman embarked on his second loan spell of the season at Valley Parade after failing to impress in the Championship for Blackpool.
The Bantams have recently secured the future of manager Stuart McCall after severe budget cuts forced him to consider his position with the League Two outfit.
He told the Bradford Telegraph that he is doing "everything in his power" to bring Zesh and his fellow loan players on board on a permanent basis.
"Zesh and Clarkey (Matt Clarke) did well as a pair on Saturday. Sometimes facts can blind you but in the four games Zesh played down the middle, we only conceded one goal.
"It`s value for money we`re looking for and Zesh has shown he can fill the position for us."
Rehman has proven himself versatile to the Bradford faithful being able to play at both full back and at the heart of the defence, with the latter successed epitomised by the given example by McCall.
Zesh has always expressed a desire to play regular football and has become a role model for young Asian footballers having skippered Pakistan and spearheaded several initiatives to recognise Asian talent.
Should he make the permanent switch it will be the third club of his career after moving from Fulham to Queens Park Rangers under Gary Waddock in 2006. He has also had loan spells at Brighton & Hove Albion, Norwich City and Blackpool.
