The first in a series as Queens Park Rangers supporters give their views on the 2008/09 season.

How do you feel about the 2008/09 season? Deflated. Started with promise and I hoped to end roughly where we did, outside the playoffs, but the most disappointing thing was the manner of the games. So many 0-0's and even more boring games!

Stand out moment? The final whistle of the season apart? Has to be the home game v Brum and the goal from Di Carmine.

Player of the Season: Gotta go with Kaspars Gorkss on this one. Started a bit shaky under Dowie but has been a rock since he got a regular place. First name on the teamsheet, followed by Stewart and Connolly.

Goal of the Season: Can't look past Di Carmine's screamer against Brum.

Game of the Season: Not much choice here, is there?!! Have to go for the Birmingham game again here. Snowy night, up against a top team (in the division) and down to 10 before half time, won by a sublime if fortunate goal- his slip when he hit it helped it curve into the top corner in my opinion!

Which manager do you want to see at Loftus Road? Anyone who plays interesting football and stays for more than 6 months! Ideally Curbishley, although there's no way he'd come or the board'd have him; he would need time to build his own team.

Where should Rangers strengthen in the summer? UP FRONT. We need at least two new first team strikers to challenge Vine for a starting berth. Hell-guson should be got rid of.

What will need to change for Rangers to be in the promotion frame? A better pitch according to the players, stability and the board to stop meddling in team affairs. Plus of course, buy some good players, which involves keeping López.

Yes I agree we do need a better pitch and I don't mean astroturf! Does anyone remember that? It was awful and relly difficult to control the ball Many an awkward bounce cost us points back then.

It was the only reason we were successful at home if you believe all the big teams that came to W12 and lost - incredibly bitter!

That's the pitch that's on South Africa Road now, isn't it? And its such a smooth astroturf and very soft. It looks ragged and torn, but its nearly as old as me! It brought us many points (and presumably astro-burns) back in the day...

All I remember is that Chelsea always used to beat us on this pitch. I remember one particular game when Dennis Wise did the damage. Come to think of it Chelsea were always jammy against us back then - regardless of the pitch.
