Queens Park Rangers are rumoured to be interested in Cardiff City boss Dave Jones in their continued search for a manager.

The South Wales Echo has revealed today (Friday) that the former Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers boss heads the Rangers hit list as they seek to replace Portuguese legend Paulo Sousa.

Queens Park Rangers have yet to make an approach for the highly-rated Championship boss, but he is believed to be disappointed at the reaction of the Cardiff City supporters following their untimely demise out of the playoffs.

Neil Warnock was believed to be the front-runner for the vacant post but ruled himself out by signing an extension with Crystal Palace last week.

A manager with excellent promotion pedigree, Jones has led Stockport County and Wolverhampton Wanderers to success while keeping Southampton in the Premier League. He has an overall win percentage of 40.2%.

"Jones would be a brilliant appointment"

I agree with Number8, we need someone with Championship experience and the know-how with how to get a team to the top flight - he does have a history of cocking things up when the going gets tough though as this year will tell you!!

Should have got Billy Davies when we could have but Dave Jones would be good for us.

The South Wales press hate him, they had a campaign to get him out not long ago, probably just more posturing, doesn't change the fact it'd be a useful appointment

Not sure about him myself, done a decent job at Cardiff though. You would think we would have no problem getting a really good top manager to come to Loftus rd. Oh well, figers crossed....

As some Cardiff fans have said, yes it's ok, but surely we should be looking at a better calibre of Championship manager... Jewell, Curbs etc... not the likes of Jones and Pardew...

if this is true then its a great move by your club as jones knows his way around this league and would take you up if you give him some money to spend next season.

Polter Saves QPR

A SECOND half strike from Seb Polter ensured Queens Park Rangers took a share of the spoils in a less than thrilling return to the Pirelli Stadium for Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

While the home supporters chanted the name of their former manager - who guided them into League One and helped pave the way for their current Championship status - the visiting supporters were left exasperated by another fairly tepid display.

It could have been worse for the visiting side as they fell behind
