Queens Park Rangers will travel to Gary Waddock`s Aldershot Town in the first formally announced pre-season friendly.

The game takes place on Saturday January 11 at 3.00pm, and it is not yet clear whether Rangers will field a first team squad or a QPR XI.

Waddock`s Shots finished in 15th place in their first season in the Football League under their current guise.

The former QPR manager will have the chance to pit his wits against his former club who will presumably have a new man at the helm for the fixture.

Good news, love going to Aldershot and missed it last year

I'm looking forward to next season already. Got a really good feeling about it. If we get the strikers we so obviously need and key players like rowly, akos and vine stay injury free then it could/should be our season. We could all be very happy this time next year !

I think Pat and Vine are a good partnership - there seemed to be the old spark briefly up at Preston and here's to hoping there's much more to come next year. I think we can write last season off and with a couple more additions we'll be a force next year.
Boxer
yeah, those two combine well and it will be great to have them both fit and playing off each other. Still desperately need a 20 - 30 goals a season striker if we are going to be in the running. I wonder how much Flavio is going to make available to buy new players. Time we got some big names at loftus rd.
