Irish international Liam Miller has left Queens Park Rangers after failing to earn himself a fresh deal in W12.

The midfielder penned a deal in January until the end of the season and that was thought to be in the interest of both parties. It seems that the R`s were the benefactors as the midfielder failed to perform on the field.

The Irish Independent reports that the former Manchester United and Celtic player is now training with Irish outfit Cork City in a bid to be fit for international football.

During his brief spell with Rangers Miller failed to re-ignite the form that saw him help Sunderland to the Premier League as lack of fitness played a key part in his demise.

Miller made 13 appearances for QPR without troubling the scorers, as he failed in his bid to bounce back to the Premier League.

According to the news outlet there are several Championship clubs lurking to capture the signature of the Irish international.

The question now surrounds the future of Spanish midfielder Jordi López who signed a similar deal. The former Real Madrid and Barcelona player has impressed significantly more than the departed Miller but it remains to be seen as to whether Rangers chiefs will extend his deal.

Didn't do enough in his time by far - it wasn't the lack of quality there was plainly just a lack of desire from the offset.

Not surprised - and not surprised that it hasn't appeared on the official site yet. After all - aren't we "first and fastest" coz the offish site certainly isn't?!!

Could it possibly be that they're going to announce the departures en masse maybe, I don't know.

Good. Go away Miller and hopefully retire. Utterly useless on the pitch. We need to sign up Lopez though as he was the best of the many many central midfielders we've had play for us this season. I'd pick him and Mahon together, Ledge's pony as well.

Legs is such a jekyll and hyde player, one week he can be the best in his position in the league - incredible. The following week he cannot pick a pass. Unfortunately it's been more bad than good lately. That Stoke game last season is an example of his class - those have been few and far between though.
Boxer
That's why he should never be Project captain, even as a back-up. He has to be one of the most inconsistent players I've ever seen. He can be very good but I've not seen enough evidence of that compared to the times he forgets what colour we're playing in
Guttermouth
Glad to see Miller go, agree that Lopez should be held on to.
