Rangers Near Appointment

Amit Bhatia has revealed that Queens Park Rangers are closer to making a decision with regards to the managerial position in W12.

The vice chairman QPR Holdings spoke to QPR.co.uk from America and indicated that a managerial appointment at Loftus Road is a top priority for the board.

'We've talked to a lot of people and we're nearly there,' said Bhatia.

'We didn't want to rush into making an appointment, because we know just how important this decision is.

'It affects everyone connected to the Football Club; the Board, the staff, the fans. It's a crucial decision.'

Rangers have been without a boss since Paulo Sousa was relieved of his duties in April this year, and several rumours with regards to an appointment have surfaced in recent times.

Bhatia was complimentary of the Loftus Road crowd in his assessment of the season, stating that Rangers supporters are the club`s twelfth man.

He continued: 'There were many highs and lows last season, but the fans stood by us through it all.

'I've said it before and I'll happily say it again, the fans are our twelfth man, be it home or away, and their support is vital.

'The atmosphere at Loftus Road is up there with the very best I've ever witnessed and I can't wait to see the ground rocking again at the start of the season.'

A lot of fans are getting impatient when it comes to an appointment, but I can't see why - I'd rather we took our time and got it right. It's going to be very underwhealming I think

He's lying through his teeth about the fans. The atmosphere at the ground has been the worst this season than I've ever seen at LR. Points to the fact that many of the real/original fans have been priced out of coming regularly.

I like Amit, he always looks out for the supporters, always has a kind word to say. I think rather than lying he is being generous towards us. It's been awful in terms of atmosphere, but the performances and atmoshpere bounce off one another.
Boxer
yeah I'ld rather we took our time and got the right man than just appointing someone because the fans are impatient.

Don't get me wrong, I like him as well, he seems genuine enough and seems to spend more time at the club than the rest of them. I think if he was the main public face of the board they'd get more backing from the fans than they do with Flavio.
