Queens Park Rangers striker Heidar Helguson has been called up by Iceland for two crucial World Cup Qualifiers.

The striker who has vowed to vastly improve his goals tally next season has been selected for Iceland for forthcoming fixtures against Holland and Macedonia.

Iceland host the unbeaten Dutch in Reykjavik on June 6, before travelling to Skopje four days later to face Macedonia.

The former Watford and Bolton forward has not scored a goal since late January and the expertly taken brace against Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.
