Blades Boss Linked With QPR

Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell has been linked with a surprise move to Loftus Road by newspapers today (Wednesday).

The Blades boss gave a stark indicator after the playoff final defeat against Burnley that his future lies away from Bramall Lane and if reports are to be believed QPR are set to swoop for the unsettled boss.

The Mirror and the Daily Mail both carry stories this morning that the Blades boss could be heading for the vacant post in W12 as an alternative to slashing the wage bill in Sheffield following the end of their parachute payments.

These of course are the outlets that were certain that Aidy Boothroyd and Jim Magilton are set to take the post respectively, with the latter so certain they have put out a string of articles with an exclusive tagline.

Despite talk that a deal has been finalised late rumours like these will persist until QPR decide to make that all-important appointment. The question is however is Kevin Blackwell that much of an improvement on the 'favourites` mentioned?

I hope this isn't true, would be a bad move in my book - at least Aidy has shown he can get a side promoted - This bloke plays horrible football and he's a bottler!
