Queens Park Rangers will take on Forest Green Rovers in a pre-season friendly in the build up to the new campaign.

Yet to be announced by the QPR official website, Forest Green have announced two potential dates for the fixture which are either Tuesday 21 or Wednesday 22 July.

A bumper pre-season is in store for the hosts who have also managed to persuade Charlton Athletic and Leeds United to bring sides down to the New Lawn.

Rovers managed an 18th placed finish in the Blue Square Premier last season with 52 points, with prolific striker Andrew Mangan hitting 26 goals including three hatricks to leave himself top scorer in the division.

A notable link between the two clubs is forward Dennis Bailey (hallelujah) who scored nine goals in 60 appearances for Forest Green between 1999-2001.
