Lenny367 and ACE have put their heads together to bring you a way to while away the summer evenings by joining our latest competition.
The competition is based in the wonderful world of Brazilian football, a league built on the skill, flair and excitement of the game in its truest form.
From Atlético to Vitória Vital QPR will cover every game until the English season commences and a winner will subsequently be announced.
For those of you like myself who are not quite as up to scratch with Brazilian football as you should be, ACE and Lenny have come up with a fascinating guide to each club which can be found here and here
Below is the current league table for Campeonato Brasileiro Série A with six times winners São Paulo looking to win the title for the fourth year in succession.
It is worth noting that in Brasil the Libertadores (the South American version of the Champions League) takes great priority, along with the Brasilian Cup as the winners of this gain an automatic place in the Libertadores.
Because of this teams involved in the cups will field weakened, or even reserve, teams in the game prior to a cup tie. The opening of the transfer window on July 1 will also have an effect as players may well be moving to Europe.
We will be giving the league standings and a brief note of events that may well affect your judgement when publishing each week`s fixtures.
Scoring
As with the regular season Prediction League points will be scored as follows:
5 points for a correct score
1 point correct outcome
1 point for correct goals scored per club.
All results and fixtures can be found at: Globo Sports
Should anyone have any questions or comments regarding the teams and personalities involved Lenny367 is on hand to field your queries.
