López Rejects QPR Offer

The agent of Jordi López, Alex Bonnot, has revealed that a deal to keep the Spaniard in W12 is unlikely.

López signed for QPR under the tenure of Paulo Sousa, making his debut from the substitutes bench against Barnsley.

Negotiations have been taking place between the club and the former Real Madrid and Barcelona midfielder as his contract had expired at the end of the campaign.

Former QPR midfielder and agent Alex Bonnot has revealed that negotiations were unsuccessful and have now ceased.

He told the BBC: 'Jordi really liked it at Rangers and could have stayed if the offer was right, but it wasn't.'

López made ten appearances for QPR scoring a solitary goal against Bristol City, it remains to be seen whether he will once again link up with Paulo Sousa at Swansea City.

I really do hope that we offered him fair terms and didn't try to short-change him on his contract. Otherwise it shows a distinct lack of ambition- he was by far our most composed and obiously classy central midfielder in those few games he played, and is on a free. What else do the board want from a player??
