Akos Buzsaky and Martin Rowlands are on course for pre-season as they recover from their respective anterior cruciate ligament injuries.

The Magical Magyar suffered his injury in an innocuous turn against Manchester United at Old Trafford. He had previously been on a long road to recovery from ankle surgery last summer, causing him to miss several international fixtures for Hungary.

'Good to hear he is recovering well from his injury. A fit Buz for the season would make a huge difference to our team'

Physio Paul Hunter told QPR.co.uk that Akos should be ready for pre-season and is ready to join in full training when it re-commences.

"He`s been in there every day of the summer, and he`s pretty much ready to join in with the lads next week, said Hunter.

"We`re obviously mindful that we`re not going to push him in too hard. We`ve got all of pre-season to fine tune him.

"He wanted to be the fittest lad coming back on pre season day one and I`m sure looking at him out in training, he`s probably not going to be far off that but we`ll take our time with him make sure he`s right. But he`s pretty much ready now which is perfect."

While the Hungarian international is on schedule, his start of rehabilitation was slower than expected - but Akos` work rate has ensured that he has caught up in the process.

"He`s probably on schedule, we had a little bit of a slow start with him which sometimes happens but now he`s caught it up and he`s bang on where he should be.

"His work rate`s been fantastic, can`t fault him for that which is what you want and that`s why he`s ready and where he is really."

Hunter revealed that players carrying heavy knocks from last season such as Rowan Vine, Patrick Agyemang and Heidar Helguson have been working hard in the gym all summer in a bid to hit their peak at the season's start.

While skipper Martin Rowlands suffered a similar injury against Derby County at Pride Park he is also on course to use pre-season as a springboard to be ready for the first game against Blackpool.

Hunter stated that while the captain is further back in his injury he is working hard to be fit for pre-season and catch up with fellow team-mate Akos Buzsaky.

"He`s two months further back injury-wise but in terms of recovery he`s doing his best to catch him daily, said Hunter.

"He`s working hard and he`s going to be joining in some sessions, not all of pre-season but again we`re aiming to use pre-season as the final part of his rehab as well. We`ll aim for him to be ready for the first game of the season as well.

"We had some tests done today that show he`s at where we think he should be at this stage which is great, it`s all about the next four/five/six weeks really and depending how they go."

The aforementioned were undoubtedly the jewels in the crown of Luigi De Canio`s exciting QPR outfit, but managers such as Iain Dowie and Paulo Sousa could never truly yield the benefits that they provide.

With Vine and Agyemang ready to rekindle their formidable partnership, and Akos Buzsaky and Martin Rowlands firing from midfield, it could be set to be an exciting season for Jim Magilton`s Queens Park Rangers.

Great Akos is nearly back, he's the pivotal player in our team and if he's played in position behind the front 2 then we'll automatically finish several places higher than last season.
