QPR Smash Transfer Record

Queens Park Rangers have broken their transfer record to sign Argentinean midfielder Alejandro Faurlin for a deal worth £3.5million.

The midfielder has penned a three year deal at Loftus Road which is subject to international clearance.

This breaks the previous record held by Mike Sheron`s transfer from Stoke City for £2.75m back in 1997.

The 22-year-old playmaker penned the deal from Argentinean outfit Instituto, where he made 34 appearances, despite interest from all over Europe.

Magilton and Gorman have good pedigree picking players from South America with Luciano Civelli impressing after joining Ipswich from Banfield in January.

Vital QPR would like to welcome Alejandro to the club and wish him every success.

Mike Sheron... 2.75 million..... that joke will never cease to amuse me. Hilarious !

That's a record we can leave behind at least!

I nearly fell off my chair when I heard £3.5M!! I hope he's good or the board'll still have fans on their backs. Looks like he;s the replacement for Cookie, who seems increasingly injury-prone.

It seems to me that the board seem to lose whatever happens, if they don't spend they're penny pinching and lack ambition, and when they do spend they'll get stick for spending too much on a player....

Well I'm excited to see the new boy in action. Only doubt I have is he's yet another midfielder. Or maybe he'll play left back ! ha !

I would imagine he'll start wide left - there is uncertainty over Cook's alleged injury...
