QPR Sign Italian Striker

Queens Park Rangers have agreed a deal to sign striker Alessandro Pellicori from former Serie B side Avellino.

The news was broken today by QPR Italia that the 28-year-old forward formerly of Lecce has agreed terms with the R`s with the specifics of the deal to be announced in due course.

Pellicori is due to meet up with the rest of the squad as they fly out to Slovenia in the next few days to face NK Celje, then to Croatia to face NK Karlovac.

The 5"11 forward bagged 18 goals in 38 appearances for Avellino who were recently promoted from Serie C1, but his goals couldn`t help them to avoid relegation at the first opportunity.

This comes on the day where Rangers front-line will be brimming with confidence having put four goals past League Two Aldershot Town.

I really hope people give him time to bed in, to be frank I'm sick of some of the negative comments already.
