Queens Park Rangers have handed a trial to Czech goalkeeper Martin Lejsal who has an ambition to play in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old goalkeeper was rumoured to be signing for Dutch outfit Feyenoord but with the deal falling through recently he was linked with a move to England.

Middlesbrough were heavily rumoured by Sky Sports to be front-runners for his signature, but today (Tuesday) it emerged that he will join up with Queens Park Rangers in their Slovenian training camp.

He revealed to MF DNES that Queens Park Rangers was the most attractive prospect, and the promise of the Premier League is something that enticed the keeper.

'I am set to travel with then to a training camp this week. My agent says he has some other offers, but this is a good one and a specific one.

'He has spoken with the manager and he wanted me to arrive.

'My dream is to play for an English club. The Premier League is the world's best league nowadays and I would like to play in it at some point.

'So I am doing all I can to be as close as possible.'

He will work alongside current goalkeepers, young Latvian Elvijs Putnins and experienced compatriot Radek Cerny with whom he will look to vie for the number one jersey in Celje and Karlovac.

He's played in Italy, I wonder if he's any good and can adapt his game to the Championship. And even more importantly, come and claim crosses confidently!!
