Queens Park Rangers go into break two goals to the good courtesy of strikes from Damion Stewart and Alessandro Pellicori.

R`s fans barely had time to take in the glorious conditions when defender Damion Stewart was quick to capitalise on an error by goalkeeper Terry Burton after a neat cross from Martin Rowlands.

The keeper fluffed his lines from the cross to drop the ball at the feet of Damion Stewart and after a mere 70 seconds the Jamaican defender poked the ball home.

The R`s had further chances to extend their lead when striker Alessandro Pellicori fired over and a testing cross narrowly evaded Patrick Agyemang.

The hosts have offered little in reposte, looking a shadow of the side that beat Charlton Athletic comprehensively a few weeks previously (3-1).

Rangers doubled their advantage on 32 minutes when Alessandro Pellicori reacted quickest to Akos Buzsaky`s thunderbolt free-kick which cannoned back off the post.

The Italian forward stooped to head home from close range to extend the lead that the R`s dominance had deserved.

In a youthful line-up, Rangers included Joe Oastler, Lee Brown and Romone Rose in defence, with Martin Rowlands also getting his first start since injuring his anterior cruciate ligaments at Derby earlier this year.
