The worst kept secret in Championship football is out and Dexter Blackstock is about to be unveiled as a Nottingham Forest player.

As reported exclusively by Vital Forest Blackstock was in Nottingham to complete his medical and finalise personal terms ahead of a move this week.

The striker played one match in pre-season, scoring against Aldershot Town, but was left behind on the R`s tour of Slovenia and Croatia, sparking already existing rumours that he was destined for the City Ground.

The sticking point this summer seemed to be whether Jim Magilton wanted to keep the forward and the fee between the two clubs, but both of these issues have recently been resolved with the club not disclosing the final amount.

Vital QPR exclusively revealed Forest`s initial interest in the player in March, and subsequently he was loaned out to the reds, where he scored two goals in their fight for survival.

Vital QPR would like to place on record it`s thanks to Dexter Blackstock - keep it Vital QPR for a tribute to the R`s former number nine
