QPR Snap Up Tottenham's Taarabt

Queens Park Rangers are set to secure the services of Tottenham Hotspur winger Adel Taarabt on a season long loan.

The attacking midfielder had an impressive brief spell at Loftus Road towards the latter stages of last season.

Taarabt scored a solitary goal during the spell, the winning goal against Bristol City in a 2-1 victory after reacting quickest to Damien Delaney`s cross.

He has been on the fringe of the Tottenham set-up of late and has expressed a desire for first team football of late.

Reading were thought to be one of the interested parties vying for the young Moroccan`s signature, but QPR fended off the Royals and others to capture the exciting midfielder.

His previous loan spell at Loftus Road was cut short owing to a knee injury, sustained in training which required surgery.

Welcome back Adel

Agreed ozanne - Happy with a very useful addition here. At least there's a commitment on the deal and it's more long-term than short-term. Maybe potential for a permanent deal in future!

No way. I cannot abide this player, he absolutely disgusts me and makes us all look worse with his ridiculous antics. I wouldn't wish a bad injury on any player but... Anyway the only one tiny sliver of a silver lining on this move is that he hasn't gone to my other team- Malaga CF- who were also reportedly interested
Guttermouth
Play Gareth ahead of this two-bit show pony Jim and Flav!! Please, for the love of all that's holy!!!
Guttermouth
Oh come on Guttermouth - yes a small minority of his antics have been poor - a split second in a 90 minute match. The skill and talent and more importantly creativity and goals that he will provide, far outweighs any foul play in my opinion.
