Queens Park Rangers co-owners Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore are putting their heads together to improve the entertainment of Forumula One.
A sport torn through derision and argument in recent times, Briatore is being charged with improving the entertainment value of Forumula One, alongside commercial rights holder, Bernie Ecclestone.
FOTA chairman and Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo explained in Bologna that Briatore would be the man to bring entertainment back to the forefront of the sport.
Briatore explained: 'What we wanted is a Formula One,'
'We have achieved what we wanted: an F1 with the best drivers, the best teams, and now we want to work to have a better show, to entertain the people.
'We want to make sure the fans are with us, that they enjoy the fight between the drivers.
'In the last six or seven months there has been a lot of talk about politics and costs, and I don't believe this is a subject the fans like.
'The fans like a show, a race. We need to talk about sport again, and we are happy to achieve this, to work for that.'
Rumours that Briatore was looking to concentrate on Queens Park Rangers are suddenly cast into doubt with the Chairman of QPR Holdings take on more responsibility in motor racing.
Briatore has been involved in Formula One for over 20 years, having received his first job in the sport as commercial director of Benetton in 1988.
