Adel Returns For The Fans

Adel Taarabt has attributed his desire to return to Loftus Road to the Queens Park Rangers supporters, who he wanted to repay for their support last season.

Last night Rangers agreed a deal with Tottenham Hotspur and Adel Taarabt in principle to bring the young Moroccan back to Loftus Road on a season-long loan.

Rangers fended off competition from around Europe and closer to home with Championship rivals Reading reportedly interested in the attacking midfielder.

Taarabt revealed that Spurs wanted him to play in the Championship this season, and from then on his choice was simple.

'I'm delighted to be back,' Taarabt told QPR.co.uk

'I really enjoyed my last spell and I can't wait to spend the whole of next season here.

'There was a lot of interest in me. I had opportunities to go to Clubs in Italy, Spain and France, but Tottenham said they wanted me to play in the Championship. As soon as they said that, I knew I wanted to come back to QPR.

'The fans played an important part in that decision, because they seemed to like how I play.

'This is a decisive season for me personally. I hope to play regularly, but not just play - I want to do well, for myself, the Club and the fans.'

The attacking winger wowed the crowd in W12 in his brief cameo last campaign where he made seven appearances, scoring a solitary goal against Bristol City.

The young Moroccan international will wear the number 39, as he did last year as Rangers look to mount a challenge for the playoffs.

He hasn't returned for this fan. I just wonder how much we've had to pay Spurs for the dubious honour of signing this pony for a season.
Guttermouth
Why hasn't he returned for the fans? He said he has? I have no reason to doubt his words

I think Guttermouth means he's not happy to see him back - not all the fans in general! I'm delighted Taarabt's back and I think that, with a longer run in our team this year, knowing he's with us for the season, we should really get the best out of him (if he just stops that Ledesma-trick of diving!!)
