Queens Park Rangers eased past non-league Kettering Town in their final away game of pre-season at Rockingham Road.

Their second win in as many days came courtesy of strikers, much to the delight of the travelling supporters.

Goals from strikers have been hard to come by in recent times, but Heidar Helguson did well to nod home from an outstanding far post cross by trialist Gregory Vignal.

Alessandro Pellicori bagged his second of the game and of pre-season when he latched on to an excellent through ball by Hogan Ephraim. He took a touch before powering home past former QPR keeper Lee Harper in emphatic fashion.

The hosts rarely threatened with former QPR youngster Andre Boucaud doing his utmost to test his former employers. This will have delighted Magilton with a makeshift back four compiling of Borrowdale and Stewart at centre back flanked by Vignal and Ainsworth.

Andy Marshall keeps another clean sheet in his bid to impress the R`s boss as the R`s now look to Southampton on Saturday, before the big kick off against Blackpool on August 8.

Queens Park Rangers: Marshall, Ainsworth (Harris 70), Stewart, Oastler (Davenport 76), Vignal (Brown 46), Borrowdale, Ephraim, Alberti, Helguson (German 60), Pellicori (Parker 70), Taarabt (Rose 60).
