Akos Slams Stoke Speculation

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Akos Buzsaky has moved to quash speculation linking him with a transfer to Stoke City.

The Hungarian international had been linked with a move to the Britannia Stadium, and rumours at the start of the month suggested that the R`s had turned down an approach from the Potters.

According to Akos this is wide of the mark, and talk of a reunion with former boss Tony Pulis has been firmly put to bed.

'I don't know anything about this rumour with Stoke,' Akos told

'This is true that my former manager Tony Pulis knows me very well and knows what I can do on the pitch.

'But I don't think that anyone would like to sign a player who missed half-a-year due to injury. After a good season it may be a question.'

The Magical Magyar as he has been coined by QPR, has stated his ambition to play in the Premier League and hopes he can achieve this feat with the R`s.

He said: 'I have a three-year-long contract and I would like to stay here until it expires.

'But sooner or later I'd like to compete in the Premier League and it might be that I must try to reach this challenge at another club if it's not possible with QPR.'

Buzsaky will not play a part in the friendly fixture against Southampton tomorrow afternoon owing to a thigh complaint, but hopes to be available for selection when the first game of the season comes around against Blackpool a week tomorrow.
