Leigertwood Back In Training On Thursday

Vital QPR - Breaking News

Just listened to QPR Player and it has been confirmed that midfielder Mikele Leigertwood will be able to resume full training from Thursday 6th August. It will probably be too soon for him to be in contention for Saturday`s opening day fixture against the Tangerines but it`s good news, nevertheless!

Great news is that Akos Buzsaky played in the behind-closed-doors game against Chelsea yesterday (which, I`m sure you are all aware by now, we lost 4-0). He played the full 90 minutes and came through unscathed. He could, therefore, be in contention for a place in the squad, if not the starting XI, on Saturday.

The bad news, however, is that there is still no mention of Alejandro Faurlin`s return to training - let alone playing. In fact, there has been no mention of him at all. That must beg the question: did he, in fact, tear his thigh muscle which will, of course, require a longer lay-off? As usual, the offish site is being reticent about Faurlin`s progress.
