Man of the Match - Peter Ramage

Queens Park Rangers fans have voted full back Peter Ramage as the Man of the Match against Blackpool.

Those who saw this before the beginning of the campaign would be rubbing their eyes in disbelief and pointing to a bout of gallows humour as the answer to what would seem a perplexing choice.

However Peter Ramage gave a defensive master-class at right back, his best since joining the club from Newcastle United, while scoring the all-important equalising goal to give Rangers a just point at home to Ian Holloway`s side.

His cross-come-shot flew over the head of a forlorn Paul Rachubka, who had been resilient throughout to deny the dominant hosts, and into the top left hand corner. It received a rapturous reception from Loftus Road, a stark cry from the indifferent surprise of some that he was given the official award over the PA moments earlier.

Ramage has never been lacking for effort throughout self-confessed difficult times in W12, and it gives me great delight to give the award to the Ashington born defender, the overwhelming victor - Peter Ramage.

Here were the top three:

1. Peter Ramage - 81%
2. Kaspars Gorkss - 12%
3. Adel Taarabt - 6%

Now we ask the following

How will Rangers fare against Exeter City? - Answer on the front page, with the poll situated at the bottom right of the page.

Spurs fans - last season he was getting the award every week, so I had to stop it.
