League Cup Pits QPR Against Chelsea

Queens Park Rangers will once again travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea, this time in the Carling Cup.

Rangers made the trip to their neighbours in January 2008 and were edged out in a narrow FA Cup defeat courtesy of a Lee Camp own goal.

QPR have dispatched of Exeter City and Accrington Stanley in the opening two rounds and face Carlo Ancelotti`s men as their reward at the third stage.

The tie will be played on the week commencing September 21, and must surely be a pick for television coverage in what will undoubtedly be a keenly fought West London derby.

If they are playing on the sunday b4 and have a big match on the following weekend then we may face a second string Chelsea.
