The 32-year old midfielder has signed a contract with Derby until the end of the season, subject to FA and Football League approval.

Borja Valerto - West Bromwich Albion to Real Mallorca - Loan

The Baggies record signing has moved back to former club Real Mallorca on a season-long loan deal.

He was signed by Tony Mowbray for a deal worth £4.7m last summer but failed to make a significant impact the Baggies season, or new boss Roberto Di Matteo.

The deal comes with the option of a permanent switch.

Radanfah Abu - Free to Swansea City

Versatile player Leigh Bromby has made the switch to Leeds United today after continued speculation linking him away from Bramall Lane.

The defender who re-signed from Watford only last season has signed a four-year deal at Elland Road for an undisclosed fee.

Darren O'Dea - Celtic to Reading - Loan

Celtic defender Darren O'Dea has penned a loan deal with Reading until January despite signing a new three-year contract at Parkhead.

Rumours suggest that this deal is with a view to a permanent transfer as the transfer saga of last year finally comes to fruition.

Evander Sno - Ajax to Bristol City - Loan

Former Celtic midfielder Sno makes the move to Ashton Gate after being told by Martin Jol that first team opportunity in Amsterdam would be limited this season.

The season long loan deal will see him once again link up with Paul Hartley as he looks to hold down a regular spot after impressing against the Robins during pre-season.

Alvaro Saborio - FC Sion to Bristol City - Loan

A striker has made the move to Ashton Gate following the horror injury to former loanee Andrius Velicka, and it comes in the shape of Costa Rican international Alvaro Saborio.
