Carlos Edwards - Sunderland to Ipswich - £1.35m

30-year old Carlos Edwards rejoins Roy Keane, his former manager at Sunderland.

The Trinidad midfielder has signed a 2-year deal but will only join up with his new team-mates when he returns from international duty next week.

Claude Davis - Free to Crystal Palace

Fromer Derby defender Claude Davis joins up with former manager Neil Warnock who is delighted to have secured the services of a player in worked with at Sheffield United in 2006.

Derby had cancelled Davis' contract, making him a free agent.

Jordan Stewart - Derby to Sheffield United - swap

Stewart joined Derby from Watford last summer but has not featured for the Rams since April. He is a left-sided player and Kevin Blackwell is looking at Stewart's arrival as a means of bolstering competition in his squad.

Stewart's departure from Derby has meant that Nigel Clough could bring Lee Hendrie to the club in a straight swap deal

Lee Hendrie - Sheffield United to Derby - swap

The 32-year old midfielder has signed a contract with Derby until the end of the season, subject to FA and Football League approval.

Hendrie, who had been at Sheffield United for two years, had a checkered career with the Blades owing to injuries and suspensions. His contract was cancelled to enable the swap with Stewart to take place.

Borja Valerto - West Bromwich Albion to Real Mallorca - Loan

The Baggies record signing has moved back to former club Real Mallorca on a season-long loan deal.

He was signed by Tony Mowbray for a deal worth £4.7m last summer but failed to make a significant impact the Baggies season, or new boss Roberto Di Matteo.

The deal comes with the option of a permanent switch.

Radanfah Abu - Free to Swansea City

Trinidad & Tobago international defender Radanfah Abu has made the permanent switch to the Liberty Stadium after impressing in two separate trial periods.

The defender is Paulo Sousa`s seventh signing this summer with Abu moving to Swansea after work permit formalities were completed today.

Leigh Bromby - Sheffield United to Leeds United - Undisclosed

Versatile player Leigh Bromby has made the switch to Leeds United today after continued speculation linking him away from Bramall Lane.

The defender who re-signed from Watford only last season has signed a four-year deal at Elland Road for an undisclosed fee.

David Carney - Sheffield United to FC Twente - Undisclosed

The Australian international links up with former England manager Steve McLaren in Holland after failing to hold down a regular first team spot at Bramall Lane.

Carney was enticed by the prospect of European football after failing to make a significant impact in Sheffield and being loaned out to Norwich City for the latter part of last season.

Darren O'Dea - Celtic to Reading - Loan

Celtic defender Darren O'Dea has penned a loan deal with Reading until January despite signing a new three-year contract at Parkhead.

The defender has had limited opportunity in Glasgow and new boss Tony Mowbray has sent him out on loan with a view not to a sale, but to gaining first team experience.

Ben Watson - Wigan Athletic to Queens Park Rangers - Loan

Former Crystal Palace midfielder Ben Watson has penned a six-month loan deal with QPR after falling out of favour at Wigan Athletic.

Rumours suggest that this deal is with a view to a permanent transfer as the transfer saga of last year finally comes to fruition.

Grant Leadbitter - Sunderland to Ipswich Town - Undisclosed

Sunderland midfielder Grant Leadbitter links up with manager Roy Keane at Ipswich Town once again penning a three-year deal at Portman Road.

Leadbitter worked his way through the ranks at Sunderland and played an integral part of Keane`s Sunderland side that were promoted to the Premier League.

Evander Sno - Ajax to Bristol City - Loan

Former Celtic midfielder Sno makes the move to Ashton Gate after being told by Martin Jol that first team opportunity in Amsterdam would be limited this season.

The season long loan deal will see him once again link up with Paul Hartley as he looks to hold down a regular spot after impressing against the Robins during pre-season.

Alvaro Saborio - FC Sion to Bristol City - Loan

A striker has made the move to Ashton Gate following the horror injury to former loanee Andrius Velicka, and it comes in the shape of Costa Rican international Alvaro Saborio.

The forward has made 53 appearances for his country and will look to link up with prolific forward Nicky Maynard.
