Two To Leave QPR?

Vital QPR - Breaking News

Reports today (Wednesday) suggest that Rangers are looking to offload two midfielders in the wake of the Ben Watson arrival.

The Ealing Gazette are reporting that Matteo Alberti and Gavin Mahon are the unlucky parties that are due to leave W12 with the latter still subject to the possible interest of Scunthorpe United.

With the Gary Hooper deal set to be rekindled in January, according to the newspaper, Mahon could be used as part of a deal to bring the £1m-rated forward to Loftus Road.

Alberti has yet to truly make his mark in W12 since joining from Chievo Verona on a free transfer just over a year ago. His brace against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground is his only notable display to date.

Whether or not these deals come to fruition is a matter for discussion with the Watson deal evidently not permanent, and should Rangers not choose to exercise their renewal it could leave the R's light in the middle of the park.

That's fine by me!!

I think when Faurlín is fully fit, chances for Mahon will be limited - I just despair when you see player like Mahon giving it all, and Ledge frankly playing well below his expectations without a mutter. Personally I think this is just educated guesswork from the paper - could turn out to happen, but it's just guessing from what I can see.

I know its silly to moan about having too many players but we have far too many midfielders at the club- surely this can not be great for morale when theres obviously going to be rifts between players fighting for places. Even if we get rid of the pair above we are still going to have: rowly, faurlin, buzz, watson, cook, lege, cookie, routledge, taatrabt AND ephraim !!! In my eyes they are all quality players but how are we going to fit them all in- this must mean we are going to sacrifice a striker? Good luck Jimmy :)

It's a squad game - and as we know the likes of Buz and Rowley will never play 46 games.

Is it just me or can Mahon do better than Scunthorpe?

Possibly, I'd suggest that mid-table is about his level now - although going back to Watford must be an option?
Boxer
That is what i thought. I was surprised Watford were linked to HH before Mahon.

Watford need both if they're to stay up - would be good in a relegation fight with what is their first team.
