Date Set For Chelsea Cup Clash

Vital QPR - Breaking News

Queens Park Rangers and Chelsea have agreed a date for their impending Carling Cup clash.

Rangers will travel to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday September 23 kicking off at 7.45pm, and it could be a late evening with the potential of extra time and penalties on the cards.

The reason for playing on Wednesday is that Chelsea have a home fixture with Tottenham Hotspur live on Sky the preceding Sunday.

QPR last played Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the FA Cup, in January 2008, when a newly-formed side narrowly lost out to the cup holders, 1-0.

This shall be remembered as the day QPR started their 50 match unbeaten run against Chelski.
