Gorman - Don't Underestimate Posh

Queens Park Rangers assistant manager John Gorman was keen to stress that tomorrow's opponents should not be taken lightly.

In speaking to QPR.co.uk the R's assistant manager indicated that Peterborough will provide a tough challenge for Rangers.

"Peterborough are new to this league," he said.

"I know a lot of their players. They`ll come here as well and they`ll want to enjoy the occasion, this is why they`ve been promoted and I think it`ll be a cracking game."

John stressed the importance of not underestimating Darren Ferguson's side, a team that has back to back promotions to their name.

While the expectancy level will be high, the R's assistant manager pointed to the Blackpool fixture as an indication that an early goal either way can help swing the balance of the fixture.

"What we can`t do is underestimate them," John continued.

"It`s like when we played Blackpool, expecting us to win, but look how well Blackpool have done since. It was never going to be an easy game and we played well that day, but they got the break by getting the goal.

"We need to get off to a good start at home for once and the fans will really get behind the team because we`ve got some real quality in our team."

Queens Park Rangers go in search of their first home victory this campaign, while Peterborough United still search for their first win in total.

Ferguson's men have achieved so much in getting to this level, can they go that extra mile and beat QPR in W12? - I for one certainly hope not.
