Taarabt Mumps Rumour Confirmed

Vital QPR - Breaking News

Adel Taarabt will not play a part in the R's forthcoming fixtures owing to a bout of mumps.

There has been feverish speculation with regards to the welfare of the Tottenham Hotspur loanee in recent days and today QPR confirmed that he has contracted mumps.

Taarabt will henceforth miss this weekend's fixture and depending on how long he has had the mumps, he is unlikely to play a part in Rangers' Carling Cup tie with Chelsea.

This is an undoubted blow to QPR's ambitions tomorrow as they must now look to adapt their system and maybe forego Taarabt's free role for a strike duo upfront.

I take it that the reference to "feverish speculation" was a deliberate pun! That said, he had better keep an eye on his spuds, Mumps can leave adults like a certain famous brand of Oranges. Or for Stagate SG1 fans, like Teal'c.
