Vine Craves Stability Under Magilton

Rowan Vine spoke in the aftermath of the Cardiff victory stating that Magilton needs to be given time to build a promotion challenging side.

The striker who played a key role in QPR's excellent win in the Welsh capital told The Mirror that Magilton needs to be given time to harness one of the 'top teams' in the Championship.

"We have brought in players over the last 18 months who have strengthened the squad massively. But there has been instability at the club, with people coming and going. That never helps," said Vine.

"Jim Magilton has certainly been good for the players so far. We would like to see him given the time to continue the job.

"We believe we are one of the top teams in the league. We are capable of beating anybody. What we need is for everyone to be pulling in the same direction."

Magilton joined in the summer after predecessors Paulo Sousa and Iain Dowie fell in the same season for differing reasons.

While the results haven't been the most desirable, the performances at times have been impeccable with only the killer instinct evading QPR - something that Jay Simpson discovered on Saturday.

With supporters and players alike craving stability, Magilton could be at Rangers for the long-term if the early signs have any bearing on his future.

I agree with Viney, but will Magilton agree? What will happen when Fitz Hall and Matt Connelly are fit again? I think we have to wait for some more good results from this 11 before we can say that "this is our best team"
