Graham - Helguson Must Stay

Watford striker Danny Graham has called on his side to keep hold of loanee Heidar Helguson until the rest of the season.

Helguson came off the bench brimming with confidence being cheered on by an adoring home support, and his brace was no less than he deserved on his return to Vicarage Road.

Now his partner Danny Graham has demanded that the Hornets hold onto their former hero, who has given the club a real lift since his return.

'I think the script was written for Heidar. He's done well in the past and he got a great reception from the crowd. They got behind him and he got two goals," Graham told the Mirror

'It's great to have him back because he has given the club a real lift. Heidar's got loads of experience and has played at Premier League level.

'I`d like to see him here for the rest of the season. A player of his experience can only help the boys and help Watford as a team.

'Hopefully we can keep him and go on and form a good strike partnership."

The striker had already bagged a goal for QPR this season against Plymouth Argyle before being loaned out to his former club in search of first-team football.

Whether he has an immediate future at Loftus Road remains to be seen, but it surely must be an option if he continues his debut form. Indeed Jim Magilton would be hard pressed to overlook such form.
