A surprise selection in the Championship Team of the Week as Jay Simpson is omitted while Radek Cerny and Kaspars Gorkss secure their spots.

Queens Park Rangers stopper Radek Cerny hardly had an effort to save all game, with two decent stops enough to earn him a spot in the Team of the Week.

It was an assured display by the Czech stopper who looked composed in every task undertaken, but nevertheless he was hardly threatened.

Meanwhile Latvian international Kaspars Gorkss slots into the defensive master-class for the week after what was an impeccable display in the Welsh capital.

He kept out the tricky duo of Michael Chopra and Jay Bothroyd in a formidable partnership with big Jamaican Damion Stewart

Surprisingly however there was no place for Jay Simpson, who bowed to the braces of both Chris Brown (Preston North End) and Matty Fryatt (Leicester City).

The team in full:

Radek Cerny (QPR)
Gianni Zuiverloon (West Bromwich Albion)
Shelton Martis (West Bromwich Albion)
Kaspars Gorkss (QPR)
Clint Hill (Crystal Palace)
Chris Brunt (West Bromwich Albion)
Martin Woods (Doncaster Rovers)
Kevin Nolan (Newcastle United)
George Boyd (Peterborough United)
Chris Brown (Preston North End)
Matty Fryatt (Leicester City)

Cerny is the best keeper this week because he caught the ball every time it was hit straight to him?
