Magilton Hails 'First Class' Support

Jim Magilton was quick to praise the Queens Park Rangers players and supporters following the slender defeat away to Chelsea last night.

The R's gaffer spoke to QPR.co.uk giving special credit to the 5,900 supporters that populated the Shed End.

'That was first class support tonight - great fanaticism," said Jim.

'They were first class from start to finish and I can' wait to get back to Loftus Road on Saturday to hear them cheer us on again.'

The former Ipswich boss hailed his QPR side, and was immensely proud of their performance against Premier League leaders, Chelsea.

'I'm immensely proud," continued Magilton.

'We pushed them really close tonight and the lads can leave here with their heads held high.

'It's another step in the right direction for us.

'I feel we had opportunities to really ask them more questions that we did at times. We lacked a little bit of belief in the final third, but we're making great strides and long may that continue.

'If we can maintain consistency, we can be as good as anyone else in the division - we proved we're a very, very good side tonight.'

Queens Park Rangers have a couple of days to prepare for a crucial Championship game against Barnsley on Saturday with Mark Robins' side rejuvenated following his arrival.

Judging by Rangers' previous displays it is a matter of time before they pick up their first home win and get behind the side at home.

Chelsea's home support was appealing. Although our away support is brilliant, it is about time we make some noise at home. It is inexcusable to have 800 at Cardiff louder than the 12,000 at Loftus Road.

It's just nice getting away from the groaning morons to be frank LCF. Used to love home games now I dread them.

Super atmosphere but yes, why can't we give the same at home?

Does LCF mean appalling rather than appealing????? He is right - R's fans were brilliant last night (except for 2 or 3). Why can't we do that at home. I think it's the same everywhere to be honest. All away fans are louder than home ones.

True Jezza, but when you consider how good our home support has been, they've been so poor this season. I do try and sing but get hushed, those of you that have heard my voice will understand lol.
