Robins Wants Three Points

Barnsley boss Mark Robins insists his side aren't coming to W12 just to make up the numbers, as they search for three points.

In his assessment of Magilton's QPR Robins told barnsleyfc.co.uk that he is looking to dispel a dismal record at Loftus Road.

'QPR are a good side and I am sure that Jim Magilton will be trying to get them to play in the same manner as the Ipswich sides he was involved with," he said.

"They will have pace down the flanks and be solid in the middle of the park.

'We are away from home and our history suggests that we normally do not do well at Loftus Road. We rid ourselves of a money on our backs on Tuesday night so we will be looking to do the same at QPR on Saturday.

'We have to go out, push on and put on a performance again. It is all about us and how we perform on the pitch. We want to get all three points to make it a better journey home."

Barnsley haven't beaten QPR since January 1950, their only win over QPR away from home. In their 22 games at Loftus Road they have been defeated a staggering 17 times, not taking a point in W12 in their last six visits.

Let's make sure of that on Saturday. Can we also all get behind the club and make the the anti-Flav brigade shut-up and get on with supporting the team on the pitch!!
