Jim Calls For Continuity

Queens Park Rangers boss Jim Magilton has called upon his side to retain their consistency as the R's face Barnsley tomorrow.

Rangers have put in positive back to back displays against Cardiff City and Chelsea, and now manager Magilton is hoping that his level of performance can be maintained against the Tykes.

Speaking to QPR.co.uk the R's gaffer believed that his message is beginning to transmit effectively to his players.

'The penny has finally dropped now with this group,' said Jim.

'They know what myself and John and the rest of the staff want from them, and they now know that they've got the ability to deliver the goods.

'We've got a Champions League Final now against Barnsley on Saturday and it's up to us to get that first home win.'

Despite a poor record in W12, Robins' Tykes have been resurgent in recent times, knocking Premier League Burnley out of the Carling Cup.

Barnsley still sit in the relegation zone, and with QPR proving their capabilities in recent times - Jim wants to ensure that there is no complacency in the R's camp.

'There won't be any complacency,' Jim continued

'We're trying to install a winning mentality here though and we're getting very close to where we want to be.'

The R's are yet to win at home so far this season with three successive 1-1 draws leaving supporters frustrated against Blackpool, Nottingham Forest and Peterborough United.

At the weekend they picked up their second maximum of the season, and their first two goal haul, and Magilton is pushing his message of consistency and continuity into his players.
