Queens Park Rangers boss Jim Magilton was quick to praise midfielder Akos Buzsaky following his brace in the thumping victory over Barnsley.
Buzsaky bagged two goals against the Tykes this afternoon, first latching onto a through ball from Ben Watson to roll home a deflected effort before hitting a venomous, dipping drive to put Rangers three ahead.
Magilton hailed the performance of the Magical Magyar who he believes is close to re-capturing his best form for the club.
'Akos is improving. He's slowly but surely getting back to where he was," Jim told QPR.co.uk.
'He needs to maintain the standards he set today, because when he plays like that, he's a very, very good player.
'His second goal was top, top class.'
Speaking about the performance in general Magilton was delighted with the first half showing, and despite taking their foot off the gas for the brief spell Rangers reasserted their dominance in the latter stages.
'We're on the up,' Jim continued
'Its work in progress and I still think there's so much room for improvement with us, but we have a fantastic bunch of lads, who we have great belief in.
'Performances bring you points. There's still a long way to go, but the belief is growing and confidence is too with results.
'Some of our attacking play was outstanding in the first half though. We dropped those standards for a bit in the second half, but we upped it again and in the end we ran out comfortable winners.'
The R's now face the unenviable task of taking on Newcastle United at St James' Park on Wednesday, with the Toon Army buoyant after a thumping victory over Ipswich Town this afternoon.
