The Sunday Mirror has quoted Jim Magilton as calling Adel Taarabt a 'silly boy' for gesticulating towards fans near the end of our 5-2 victory against Barnsley.

Magilton told the paper that he was angry with Taarabt's attitude:

'He`s a wonderful footballer and at times he will infuriate everyone, like he infuriates me,' our manager admitted.

'He`s very much a prized asset of ours,' Magilton added. 'If he`s reacted he`s been a little bit silly but that`s what you get with talented footballers.

And tellingly he continued:

'They can be a bit headstrong at times. Will I put an arm around him? No, I`ll probably throttle him for not passing!'

That suggests that (a) Taarabt will be going nowhere and (b) Magilton will handle his attitude to the fans - as well, I'm sure, as his attitude towards passing!

There is never an excuse to boo your own players. Having said that Taraabt does himself no favours. Setting up Akos for a probably hatrick would have covered both players in glory. Instead, after already having ignored easy opportunities to pass the ball and maintain position, Adel decides he needs to take on the entire team and do it all himself. This game is all about teamwork and despite the fact that he is one of our biggest flair players, he risks sacrificing a promising career with a bad attitude. Sort it out Adel, we want you at the club, but only if you commit to being a team player.

It was the third time in a short space of time he did it, and I won't criticise the crowd for thier frustration, even Jim was frustrated! I do not condone what happened afterwards with his next touch and the minority deciding to boo. But the two incidents were entirely separate.

We don't need him at the Club. Not in the starting XI anyway. He's far too selfish, and gifted as he is, we're far far stronger without him than with him. Just compare the end products of him and Akos on Saturday. I just hope Akos can stay fit

Rangers Rejuvenated As Fulham Flop

QUEENS Park Rangers claimed their first win at Craven Cottage since January 1980 as Fulham missed two open goals and two spot-kicks.

Cheered on by a travelling contingent of 3000, Rangers took the game to the Cottagers and came out with just rewards, despite the home set getting a lot of help from referee Lee Mason.

Alex Smithies was the hero of the first half - saving top-scorer Tom Cairney`s spot-kick - before Conor Washington guided home his first league goal for QPR via the aid
