Midfielder Makes Team of the Week

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Ben Watson has been named in the Championship Team of the Week.

The Wigan Athletic loanee has turned in some impressive performances for the R's since joining on transfer deadline day - and scored his first QPR goal against Barnsley this weekend.

His shot on the turn from Rowan Vine's knockdown was fumbled into the back of the net by David Preece to settle the nerves and make it 4-2 to Rangers.

He has now been rewarded for his consistency with a selection in the Team of the Week.

The full team is as follows:

Paul Rachubka (Blackpool)
Chris Gunter (Nottingham Forest)
Jose Fonte (Crystal Palace)
Sean St Ledger (Middlesbrough)
Dean Moxey (Derby County)
Etienne Esajas (Sheffield Wednesday)
Kevin Nolan (Newcastle United)
Richard Chaplow (Preston North End)
Ben Watson (Queens Park Rangers)
Billy Sharp (Doncaster Rovers)
Leon Best (Coventry City)

Watson's selection comes off the back of Kaspars Gorkss and Radek Cerny's selection last week for their role in the victory over Cardiff City.
