Positive News For Cook

Queens Park Rangers winger Lee Cook has stepped up his rehabilitation following the positive results of a scan.

The R's winger had keyhole surgery in the summer to clear up a lingering knee problem, and since then has undergone a rigorous schedule of rehab.

The latest MRI scan gives Cook the all clear to resume light running and physio Paul Hunter expressed his delight to QPR.co.uk.

'It's really positive news,' he said.

'The scan showed significant healing in the area of the knee affected by the injury and that's great news.'

Cook will now attend a specialist training centre where an anti-gravity treadmill will help the Rangers medical team ascertain how much weight the winger places on the affected area.

While the self-professed R's fan has had to watch his fellow team-mates train, it may not be long before he is able to resume light training and get back on the field with his fellow R's.
