Hogan Ephraim will be out for six weeks after keyhole surgery on a troublesome ankle.

The R's winger hasn't featured in recent times under Jim Magilton with Ákos Buzsáky stepping up to the mark and performing admirably.

The former West Ham United man has now undergone keyhole surgery on his ankle as of a couple of days ago, and will be spend six weeks on the sideline.

He joins Gareth Ainsworth (tendonitis) and Lee Cook (knee) on the treatment table, while Matthew Connolly (glandular fever) is expected to be out for quite some time.

Better news concerning Fitz Hall and Angelo Balanta (groin), who are both expected to be available for selection against Preston North End at the weekend.

This one has been around for a while. Hopefully, he will be back sooner, rather than later.
