Wallace Ready For QPR Test

Preston North End winger Ross Wallace returned to training a day early following international duty in preparation for this weekend's test.

The former Sunderland and Celtic wide-man has been in impressive form for Preston North End since joining in January this year with some consistent performances on the flank.

He recently attained his first cap for Scotland in the friendly defeat against Japan, but was keen to return to the British Isles and get back to training for what will be a tough game this weekend.

'Going out to Japan was a bit tiring with the jetlag, and it was a 12-hour flight in either direction," Wallace revealed to the Lancashire Evening Post

'But I've had two training sessions since I got back, so I'm okay.

'The gaffer gave me the option of having Monday off and coming back to training yesterday, but I came in as normal on Monday.

'I want to be bang at it for Preston again and now we've got a big league game at QPR on Saturday.

'It's another tough one, as they all are in the Championship, but away from home we've been going all right this season and hopefully can continue to do so.'

Wallace looks set to line up on the left-wing with Chris Sedgwick looking to retain his place on the other flank despite the return of Paul Parry.

Callum Davidson is in a race against time to be fit for the clash at Loftus Road after returning from a torn hamstring injury.

The defender scored one of his 21 league goals from the penalty spot the last time the two sides met at Loftus Road.
