QPR Injury Crisis

Queens Park Rangers have revealed that there will be several players missing for tomorrow's clash against Preston North End.

Long-term absentees Martin Rowlands (knee), Matthew Connolly (Glandular Fever) and Lee Cook (knee) remain unavailable for selection along with Angelo Balanta (groin) and Hogan Ephraim (ankle).

More news has come to light today that sees two further absentees with Mikele Leigertwood (virus) and striker Alessandro Pellicori (knee) providing Jim with a different kind of headache from the one he's used to.

'We're down to the bare minimum," Jim told QPR.co.uk

'It's unbelievably bad luck, but we'll just have to crack on with it.

'It gives those lads who haven't seen as much action as they'd have liked the opportunity to prove their worth and lay down a marker to me and my staff.

'I've always said each and every member of the squad will have a significant role to play throughout the course of the season and that will certainly be the case now in the wake of the recent injuries.'

The R's will almost definitely recall Peter Ramage to full back, with Alejandro Faurlín now destined to take his place in the middle of the park.

Faurlín could now be partnered by Gavin Mahon who stated yesterday that he is ready to step forward should the situation merit.

A probable line-up is as follows:

Černý

Ramage - Stewart - Gorkšs - Borrowdale

Mahon (c) - Faurlín

Routledge - Vine - Buzsáky

Simpson
