Queens Park Rangers are reportedly interested in signing Leeds United striker Jermaine Beckford in January.

The Daily Mailis reporting that the R's are set to swoop for the Leeds forward in a £1.5m move.

Rangers are vying with Newcastle United and Bolton Wanderers according to these reports and hope to tie up a deal in January to avoid the end of season scramble - when the forward is out of contract.

Leeds have already expressed their reluctance to sell the striker despite his contract coming to an end this season, and seem willing to keep the striker whatever the price.

Beckford has bagged eight goals this season already including a last minute winner in last night's top of the table clash against rivals Norwich City.

What do YOU think about this potential deal?

One thing you have to admire about the Briatore era is that they are keeping us financially sound. Leeds are keen to keep him so we may find they will ask for silly money. If so its a non starter.
