Bywater's Disappointment At Derby Demise

Derby County goalkeeper Stephen Bywater revealed that the players are hurting following the home humbling by Queens Park Rangers.

The hosts squandered a two goal lead courtesy of veterans Paul Dickov and Robbie Savage with Adel Taarabt halving the deficit before the break, and Gavin Mahon, Jay Simpson and Ákos Buzsáky completing the rout.

Bywater was quick to tell of his and his team-mates disappointment to dcfc.co.uk.

'It was obviously very disappointing to lose the game having taken a two-goal lead,' said the 'keeper.

'We're hurting and we're all very disappointed at this moment in time.

'The goals were conceded weren't good enough as a team and we know that.

'Their goal just before half-time was crucial because it gave them a bit of confidence; if it had been 2-0 at half-time it could have been totally different.

'But that goal lifted them and they quickly got the goal in the second half which obviously really got their tails up.'

Depleted Derby must now travel to Ipswich Town next weekend, both with an unwanted record heading into the fixture.

The Rams are without their first win on the road, while the Tractor Boys are still searching for their first victory overall as they sit rock-bottom of the Championship.
