Miller Hails Former Boss Magilton

Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Tommy Miller recounts his time at Ipswich playing with and under QPR manager Jim Magilton.

Magilton snapped up Miller from Sunderland while manager with the Tractor Boys and he returned to a club he made over 100 appearances for previously in his career.

The 30-year-old midfielder, who is set to play this weekend after recovering from a bug, told the Sheffield Star that he would question Ipswich's decision to let him go.

'Everybody knows QPR are a good side,' said Miller.

'Jim Magilton was my manager at Ipswich; I also played with him, and he's a good friend of mine.

'Unfortunately Ipswich didn't get into the play-offs and Jim was pushed aside; whether that was the right decision, I don't know.

'He's a very good, passionate and very vocal coach. He manages his teams the way he played. He wants players to be comfortable on the ball in all areas. I definitely think he'll be a top manager. He has all the credentials.'

Miller has made 14 appearances in all competitions for the Owls this season, predominantly from the bench. He could continue in the middle of the park after his display in the draw at Bristol City.
